
We were so excited to be back at it again in person! Volunteers, Trainers, AWWA Board Members, past and present AWW Staff, and partners gathered to celebrate 30 Years of Alabama Water Watch and the accomplishments of our volunteers!

Dr. Paul Brown, Dr. Becky Barlow, Dr. Molly Gregg took time to greet AWW Volunteers and express their thanks to the contributions made by volunteers to ACES programs.

Dr. Scott Rogers, with the Alabama Department of Transportation, Natalie Parsons, Alabama Department of Public Health – Lee County, Tom McCauley, Auburn University Risk Management and Safety, and Dr. Mimi Fearn with Dog River Clearwater Revival spoke on how their organizations utilize AWW Volunteers and data and how they plan to incorporate AWW into their programs in the future.
30 YEARS OF AWW WITH DR. DEUTSCH
AWW Founder and Former Director, Dr. Bill Deutsch, shared the origin story of Alabama Water Watch, including how our beloved caddisfly became the mascot for the program. Stay tuned for a video of Dr. Deutsch’s presentation on 30 Years of Alabama Water Watch.
